Covid-19: Here's Brand-New Breakdown Of Dutchess County Cases By Community

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Dutchess has topped 17,000 as the county saw five new virus-related deaths reported this week.

Health officials in Dutchess are now monitoring 2,316 active COVID-19 cases on Friday, Jan. 22, as the death toll rose to 324 since the last data was reported earlier this week.

Late in November last year, the county was only monitoring approximately 200 active cases.

The seven-day rolling positive infection rate in Dutchess down to 7.41 percent after spiking at 9.11 percent and double digits last week.

A total of 157 patients are currently hospitalized with COVID-19 in Dutchess, up from 147 earlier in the week.

  • Rhinebeck: 90;
  • Pleasant Valley: 80;
  • Red Hook: 48;
  • Wappingers Falls Village: 43;
  • Dover: 40;
  • Pawling: 32;
  • Union Vale: 25;
  • Clinton: 24;
  • Amenia: 24;
  • Rhinebeck Village: 22;
  • Fishkill Village: 18;
  • Milan: 15;
  • North East: 14;
  • Washington: 11;
  • Pawling Village: 10;
  • Pine Plains: 7.

There are less than five active COVID-19 cases in Millbrook Village, Millerton Village, Red Hook Village, and Tivoli Village.

Statewide, there have been 1,285,337 confirmed COVID-19 cases in New York out of 29.76 tested. There have been 33,594 virus-related deaths reported since the pandemic began.
